Welcome to my blog. I am Jonathan Marchant, a bisexual, college grad, introspective expert, empath, and hopefully future psycho therapist someday. I want to share my life with the world. I try to get pretty in depth so others can relate. I believe everyone's stories are worthy to share. My goal is to inspire people to understand their own worth through my own personal experiences. Remember, one's worth is infinite.

I Can't Wait to Serve a Mission!
Hey guys! So last night after I wrote on the blog I hiked the "Y" with a couple of my friends. It was so much fun. We had a party! Anyway so we are walking up the trail and I look back and see this guy aways behind us and I'm like "guys we need to walk faster, someone is going to catch up with us" just to be funny. So then later this guy passed us as we stopped. So we were like whatever and made it to the Y. Then we see the guy up there and we just start a conversation with him. We figure out he's a college student going to UVU. Next, we meet his friend who is about the same age. I just have this full out conversation with them and while we were talking I had this feeling to tell them about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I didn't know exactly when to bring it up and eventually we started talking about it. One of the guys got baptized a few years ago and another one is going to church every week, but hasn't been baptized yet. I had a great love for these two guys that I had just barely met. I just wanted them to know how happy the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes me. We talked about the spirit and I said how amazing that feeling is when you have it. They agreed. I wish I could have said more. Now I just hope that things go well for them and that they keep going to church. This experience made me think a lot about my mission that I could be going on next year. I can't wait to go out on mission and teach others about the gospel of Jesus Christ and help them to be happy! I will never forget talking to those guys! What a great experience! We can all be missionaries even in our own cities. Hope everyone has a great day! :)

Our Live are very Fragile
Hey guys! Sorry it's yet again been a long time since I have written on the blog. I just got distracted with Summer and not having to worry about school. Anyway I wanted to talk today about our lives. Our souls. I like the word souls. Or spirits is a good one too. We all have spirits. Our lives are very fragile. If you didn't already hear a few days ago Robin Williams died. He actually committed suicide. It is so sad. He was such a great actor and man. He did good things and entertained us at the same time. On Facebook one of my friends had a post that talked about how we all thought Robin Williams was the happiest guy in the entire world and how we would never think that he would commit suicide. But he did. My friend cautioned everyone to be nice to every person we speak to because they may be acting happy on the outside, but may be super depressed on the inside. I fully agree with that. So let me repeat again our lives are very fragile. I mean imagine if someone you weren't very fond of died. How would you feel? You might blame yourself for their death. Then another person is sad. There are so many people out their in the world and we all have problems. I like to use the word challenges. We all have challenges in this life. We are supposed to have challenges in this life. Without challenges we wouldn't learn anything. We need to grow and learn everything that we can while we are alive. We need to be nicer to people. We can't put people down. I know that there are those people who are just so mean and won't ever apologize. Don't worry about them. Just be nice to them. You don't know what struggles they are going through in life right now. I know that if we are nicer to people, that the world can be a happier place and we can all be united. Even just a smile can make someone's day. There's a song that I love. It's called "Need a Little Love." In the chorus it says "Love, it's always worth it. Love, everyone deserves it. It's the friend that holds your hand when nobody understands. Love, it wants to heal you. Love, can see the real you, but you have to open up when you need a little love." I love that so much. We all have to be open to giving and feeling love. Love is what makes the world a better place. So please you guys be nice to everyone and always include others. We can change the world! Everyone have an awesome Thursday night. I'm about to hike the "Y." Wahoo!

Happy April Everyone!
Hey guys sorry again for not posting for the longest time. I have just gotten so busy in school and church work that I haven't had any time to write on the blog. I'll try better! Anyway I just again want to say how much I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and how amazing it is. I am 17 now and it's crazy that in just one year I could be serving a mission! I am so excited! I have started reading "Preach My Gospel" and for those of you who don't know what that is it's a manual that missionaries use a lot throughout their mission to make it a success. It helps you to know the gospel better and to help your testimony grow. Anyway I love the gospel of Jesus Christ with all my heart, mind, and strength. I love reading the scriptures and praying to my Heavenly Father. I have been blessed so much this week and year with so many things. I could have a huge list of things that my Heavenly Father has blessed me with. That is the point of this blog. So many people out there have blogs and just talk about life. I want to share the gospel with the world meaning that I want to share my happiness with the world. I know that they only way one can be happy in life is when they are living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I truly am happy. Yes I have my hard days where I am just sick of life, but the gospel is always there and never changes. Celebrities change and so does the world around us, but the gospel of Jesus Christ NEVER changes. I love it so much. I know that there is a God out there and he loves everyone even the craziest of people. He's God he is the greatest person in the universe. I know that Jesus Christ loves everyone in the world too. He is our Savior and our Redeemer. He died so that we could all repent of all of the bad decisions that we have made in life. That is pretty awesome. A lot of people think the gospel is so confusing and difficult, but it's not. It's simple. Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ made the gospel simple for US because they LOVE us. I love them and am so grateful to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know it. I live it. I love it.

Anyway I want to share something anyway. So in Seminary today I learned about the Olive Trees and Jacob Chapter 5. I learned that I can be a missionary now and in 2 years when it's my turn to serve a mission. I know we can all be missionaries just at home. Be an example!!!! Anyway I have to go for Family Prayer. Check in soon. Bye!!!!!

Guess Who's Back?
Hi everyone!!!! What's up? Guess who's back? This guy. Holy cow can you believe it? It's been one day and I am back. That must be a new record. Wahoo!! Anyway so I just want everyone to know to just be happy tomorrow. Tuesday is going to be a great day!!!! I am going school shopping. Wahoo!! New clothes!!!! I am so excited. And then I get to do Summer Homework and clean my room. Wahoo!! NOT!!!! I am excited for the school shopping part, but not for the homework and cleaning. It's not fun, but I need to do it and use my day up wisely. I shouldn't just sit around all day and be bored. At least summer homework gives me something to do. Plus school starts on Thursday so I have to get it done NOW!!!! Ya so everyone just be HAPPY!!!! Tomorrow can be a great day if you make it one. Man I can't wait to read my scriptures tonight. I just got to Helaman a few nights ago and it's been great. Awesome stories. Ya so I just wanted to say to everyone out there to be happy tomorrow. Do something silly like eat some chicken and laugh. Crack a clean joke or two. Just something that brightens up your day. Let's all be positive. Anyway so I don't really know what else to type.................awkward silence...................this is not awkward at all.............Oh ya I got something. I just want to say how grateful I am for my family. I love them all so much. My last sister just got married last week and crazy things have happened. What I mean by crazy is watching my other sister's kids and being exhausted from all the running around at the wedding. The wedding was awesome though. I love the Salt Lake City Temple. It is gorgeous. Anyway family is super important to me and I love my family so much. I am so grateful for all that they do. My last sister left today to go home for a long time. I really miss all three of my sister's because they are all gone. Anyway I will see them all soon. Ya so be grateful for your family and whenever you spend time with your family make the memories last. Ya so I am tired, but I really wanted to write and I did so chicken is delicious. Bye!!!!

Hello Again?
Hi everyone!!!! Sorry it's been like a month since I've posted. I have been really busy, but I am committed to keep going on this blog. The whole point of the blog is for me to share my wonderful experiences that I have in my life everyday. I can't stop now. There are so many awesome experiences that I have had and that I will have. I HAVE to share them. Anyway so it's been a busy month and a half. That's why I haven't posted in a long time. But school is starting soon and I am getting all organized and everything so the blog will be a big priority, at least on Sunday's. Okay so today I had an amazing time at church. I truly felt the spirit speaking to me in Priesthood. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is so amazing and I am so happy to be apart of it. Anyway so this awesome kid in my quorum was sharing a very special experience. It was so great and the spirit was like a fire burning inside me. It was a fantastic experience. So in my extended family there is some trouble. I don't want to get into what it is exactly because it's a personal family problem.I just have been thinking about it for a long time and it is a sad situation. I just want everyone who is reading this blog everyday to know how hard life can be. I know from experience life can be so hard. I mean school and family and friends and pressure from adults to be "perfect." It's such a tough life even if you aren't a teenager like me. Like in my family the person who is dealing with the family situation is way older than me. He is a great person and has been so strong through the whole thing. Let's all just admit it. Life is tough. But if we stay strong (like my family member) we can do anything and still be happy no matter what happens. The gospel keeps me happy everyday. My cousin is crazy and she is a big issue in this family situation. If I could say anything to her I would say "Are you happier now than you were before?" I'm pretty sure she would say she is, but on the inside she would think differently because the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes us all happier. I know it does. I am so happy right now because I could feel God's love for me so strongly today in Priesthood. I really needed that to happen. I'm really stressed with Summer homework and school is starting really soon. I am freaking out. But I know it will all get done and I will feel better after school starts. Heavenly Father will help me. I know it. Everyone just keep moving forward (Like Walt Disney said in "Meet the Robinson's") and just have hope. Things will be okay if you stay strong in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know it. Until next post see you all later!!!!

A New Day!!!!
Hola everybody!!!! Okay so it's been a while since I have written. I'm very sorry. I have been distracted. I just got home from a high adventure camp last night. It was actually a pretty good experience. We went to Havasupai Falls. It was a 11 hour drive and 10 mile hike to the campground. It was an exhausting journey. I left on Wednesday of last week and we got to Arizona and I started feeling really sick. Lately I've been suffering with really bad anxiety whenever I leave home. I went to the Temple to do baptisms in another city like a month ago and that's when it started. The trip wasn't that long. My stomach just gets really nervous in big situations and I feel sick. But I don't have to go to the bathroom and I never throw up. I just feel really sick. This is a big challenge for me in my life right now. I want to go on huge trips away from home and have fun, but my stomach stops me every time. That's why I learn to breathe and try to relax. I try to get my mind off of it and just enjoy life. I prayed like a zillion times (I get really nervous when I'm sick I need to be patient) in the car hoping for a miracle when later I received a miracle. Just being around my friends (the scouts) and getting my mind of the sickness made me feel better. I knew it was my Heavenly Father who helped me. I mean I know he wanted me to see his beautiful waterfalls in Arizona. He wanted me to enjoy spending time outdoors. I feel bad because I wanted the whole point of the trip to be about making myself better. Improving my life. But all I did was eat candy in the car, watch movies, and counting the minutes until I was home. I didn't sit down and just enjoy what I had. I realize now how grateful I am for everything that I have. I love my friends. They are the most amazing people that I know. We don't always get along and sometimes I get really frustrated when they act immature. But the point is that they are all great and they all have their own individual problems and I should just learn to be patient with them. They are great people and I love them. There is even one friend who doesn't like me very much. I mean I try, but anyways I am very grateful for that person. I'm grateful for all the wonderful times that we have had. The good and fun times when we aren't mad at each other. I'm also grateful for my family. They are so awesome. They care about my needs and always are willing to help me. I'm grateful for my phone. I have an iphone and I love it. There are so many things I can do on it. Anyway my heart is full today and I love it. Today I went to church and I felt the Spirit so strong in Priesthood. It was so good. I love feeling the spirit. I also felt the Spirit while I was watching the movie "The Testaments." If you don't know what it is look it up. It's a great movie!!!! Anyway I love SUMMER. It is so AWESOME. I love the warm weather and hanging out with my friends. I love singing at the top of my lungs in my sister's room. I love looking out the window from the top floor of my house and seeing the sunset. I always think of the beach. I love the beach. I want to go to LA so badly. I've never been there before and I would love to see the freeway and the awesome beaches there. We actually started heading there yesterday. My leaders got on the wrong freeway and started going to LA. I was so excited until they realized they were going the wrong way and turned around. Ya oh I am so excited to watch a new episode of "Sam and Cat." It's a funny show. Okay well I will write soon. Bye!!!! Bye!!!! Bye!!!! (Backstreet Boys style)
