New Age; New Me

Well it's only been 6 years since I last posted on this blog. Back at that time, I was only 19 years old. Wow what a time it has been these last 6 years. I'm definitely not in the same place that I once was. I am now a college graduate (Bachelor's in Family Science), I am full on dating people of the same sex, I'm not active in my church, and I'm just learning and growing as a human being on this planet right now. Well here I am: the new and improved Jonathan. I've been through a lot in the last 6 years and I'm hoping I can share some of my thoughts with you and hopefully remind you of your worth as a human.

What do I say this time around? When I was younger, I was full of so much more hope. As I've grown and seen the seriousness of life's challenges, it has definitely stumped me from time to time (and by that I mean most days haha). But I still try to keep the faith and move forward.

I read something recently that discussed how just because we are on this planet, we have worth. We're meant to be down here. That's interesting, especially when you wonder what the whole point of this world is about. But that discussion of our worth keeps me stable. Reminds me that even on my hardest days, when I feel worthless, I'm on this planet so it's got to mean something, right? I know that may not be helpful for you, so I encourage you to find something that keeps you stable and helps you remember that because you're down here, you already have worth given to you. You are made of worth. I know it's difficult, but try to remember that in your darkest moments.

I'll give myself props. I think I did a pretty darn good job just now. It's just about baby steps. One day at a time.

Peace and Love ✌💖😜
